Kekkilä-BVB has become an innovation partner of Delphy ISFC through substrate brand BVB Substrates. Through this collaboration we focus on the development and dissemination of knowledge within the soft fruit sector. Due to this strong bond between independent research partners and the sector, we expect to be able to make an important contribution through relevant innovations.

Developing and sharing knowledge together

Kekkilä-BVB strongly believes in developing knowledge together and sharing knowledge with the sector. This is the reason to seek cooperation with innovative and independent partners such as Delphy. As an innovation partner of Delphy ISFC, BVB Substrates can be in direct contact with research and developments in this sector through the new soft fruits centre, which is to become a ‘hotspot for the soft fruit sector’.

Delphy Innovative Soft Fruit Centre

Delphy Innovative Soft Fruit Center (Delphy ISFC) functions as a centre for knowledge and innovation in soft fruits, whereby the centre should become a meeting place within the sector. Knowledge development and knowledge dissemination are brought together on an international scale. This is a unique way of acquiring knowledge due to the connection with the sector and the cooperation with partners. Knowledge dissemination takes place through international events, knowledge days and other initiatives where research results are shared.

Innovation partners

As an innovation partner, Kekkilä-BVB invests through BVB Substrates in projects that contribute to an innovative soft fruit sector. In addition, Delphy will also use innovative substrates from the BVB Substrates portfolio in the studies. The focus of the Delphy ISFC Innovation Partners is on, among other things, resilient cultivation, development of new cultivation strategies and optimisation of soft fruit cultivation, and on themes such as cultivation under LED lighting and digitisation.
