We’ll get an update on the latest developments within the BIOSCHAMP project, Gerard Sikes will guide us through his innovative mushroom farm, and we’ll have a look at the progress in the production of BVB Substrates’ casing soil.
BIOSCHAMP Project
This EU-funded research project aims to develop an alternative and sustainable bio-stimulant casing for the mushroom industry. With this, they aim to reduce the dependency on and need for pesticides. The research project contributes to improving the productivity, sustainability, and profitability of the European mushroom sector.
Innovations in growing methods
Together with his family, Gerard Sikes runs one of the most advanced mushroom production sites in the Netherlands. They have been innovating and improving for the past 25 years and strongly believe in the responsible use of resources. During this webinar we’ll have a look around at their company and talk to Gerard about their latest innovations.
Casing soil factory
Kekkilä-BVB has been building a specialised, state-of-the-art mushroom casing soil factory in the Netherlands. We’ll review the progress and next steps during this webinar.
